Michael's unwavering dedication to supporting the public good is evident in his work, where he has tirelessly built public trust through sustainability. He believes in the power of collaboration and is often heard saying, 'Anything can be accomplished if you have the public working with you.'
Before joining Moonshot Missions, Michael worked as an executive and public works director throughout the country, leading water-related utilities. Michael brings his skills as an educator and facilitator in governance, infrastructure, climate mitigation/adaptation, and leadership.
Michael has a BS in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Washington-Seattle. He also completed the Harvard University Senior Executives Program for State and Local Government. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Envision sustainability professional.
Michael continues his passion for the environment in his free time by volunteering for the National Parks Service as a Lighthouse Keeper in the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior. He is also a certified Wisconsin Master Naturalist and supports his local sanitary district.
