Katie Powell, PhD

Katie Powell received her PhD in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies from the University of Arkansas. She is a professor of Technical Communication at the University of Cincinnati teaching courses in technical communication, social media, usability, and professional writing. Before coming to UC, Katie worked as the Director of Student Communications for the University of Arkansas Honors College, where she developed press releases, coordinated the Honors College social media platforms, and assisted with rebranding efforts. Katie helps students channel the power of their voices into their communities, and is looking forward to encouraging Moonshot's technical advisors to tell their success stories from their work in the field. Through the power of words and visual media, she hopes to help communities nationwide understand the value of Moonshot's services.
